The film, which was a box office failure in 2016, has unexpectedly become a hit during its second run on the big screen. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie’s two-day earnings have already surpassed its original lifetime collection of Rs. 8 crore.
The 2016 romantic drama "Sanam Teri Kasam," starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, was re-released in theaters on February 7, 2025. Originally, the film had a modest box office performance, but its re-release has garnered significant attention. On its opening day, it sold over 67,000 advance tickets.
In just two days, the re-released film surpassed its original lifetime earnings, collecting ₹11.36 crore. This unexpected success has been attributed to the film's enduring popularity and the Valentine's Week timing.
Actor Harshvardhan Rane expressed his gratitude, stating, "It is a very soothing feeling... It feels like a soothing ointment."
The film's re-release has not only delighted existing fans but also introduced the poignant love story to a new audience, highlighting its timeless appeal.
