In a 2020 interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shruti shared that she often skips breakfast, which isn't ideal, but she enjoys gluten-free toast or cereal when she does eat breakfast. She loves green juices, though not as frequently as she’d like, and prefers a light lunch with salads and sandwiches. Despite typically having a light dinner, her meals can become heavier if she skips breakfast. She snacks on nuts and prefers gluten-free rotis due to her intolerance. On cheat days, she indulges in rice, particularly sambar sadam with potato curry.

She used to love seafood but later became allergic to shellfish, which has been really depressing for her. Anyway, she doesn't eat much meat. "I'm non-vegetarian, but I don't need to have seafood or need to have chicken or mutton. I love mutton, and I love caviar. Potato is my favourite vegetable."

The ‘Salaar’ actress enjoys both cooked and raw vegetables, with a particular fondness for Indian cuisine's cooked veggie dishes. While she likes ghee, she prefers coconut oil more. She doesn't drink coffee, opting instead for two to three cups of tea daily, including English breakfast and fruit-flavoured varieties. She also loves ice cream.

On the work front, Shruti Haasan will soon share the screen with Rajinikanth in ‘Coolie’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and the makers of her upcoming Hollywood movie ‘The Eye’ recently shared the first-look poster on the occasion of her 39th birthday.
